Gabrielle Egnater was born in Los Angeles, California to a family of printmakers and lighting designers. She transplanted to Chicago to pursue a BFA in Sculpture at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Egnater was awarded the Leroy Neiman Merit Scholarship to study Blacksmithing and Glassblowing at the Ox-Bow School of Art.

Her work has been exhibited internationally, including Zona Maco, Mexico City, MX; Prairie State College, Chicago Heights, IL; Roger Brown Study Collection, Chicago, IL; and The Ground Level Artist Lab, Chicago, IL. Egnater has attended the Midwest Jewish Artist Lab Residency and interned as the Ceramics Technician Assistant for the Kohler Arts/Industry Program. Egnater currently works as a Classroom Coordinator at the Cranbrook Art Museum.
