A 15,000-sqft workshop in Ferndale, Michigan, hosting hundreds of tools divided into dozens of Zones.
An collaborative interdisciplinary space, where we share every tool you've ever dreamed of and some you haven't, all under one roof. You'll make things here that you couldn't make anywhere else.
Completely volunteer-run, independent of corporate influence or profit motive
Continuously operating since 2009, inspired by and part of the global hackerspace movement

i3Detroit is not...

A commercial job shop -- you can't pay us to make something for you, but you can come make it yourself
Just a woodshop, just an electronics lab, or just a laser cutter -- we're all these things and more, we're whatever we decide to be
Professionally maintained -- we're all volunteer, so you might have to fix things before you can use them.
