I'm an engineer by training who has become interested in computing and electronics.

Since moving back to the Detroit area about five years ago, after living in Southwest Florida, I've been involved in several activities that would benefit i3 Detroit including meetups and computer groups.

I'm currently not working and do not have any outside commitments that would interfere with my involvement at i3 Detroit.

Background

I had been given the opportunity early in life to not have to work and spent many years living the good life down in Florida. Originally from the Detroit area, I grew up and went to school in Michigan. While in Florida, I spent time sunbathing, swimming, and exercising. I played video games until I grew tired of them, I watched TV, assembled puzzles, listened to music and ate peeled grapes. I got interested in computers while in Florida and took a couple of years of piano lessons before moving back. Having spent most of my life doing what others yearn to do in retirement, I have grown very tired of that way of living. I wish to develop my mind doing some constructive hacking and utilizing my creativity in developing useful things for society.

My Ambition

I would like to help others learn basic skills at i3 Detroit so that together we will be able to create valuable products that are good for the public and the world.

Main Interests

I want to pursue my interests in computing, particularly micro-controllers, and everything related to them including programming and electronics.

I hope to achieve a good grasp of the other activities offered at i3 to help me better understand how things work so I can develop my skills accordingly.

Hobbies

Knitting, music and writing.
