COVID-19 Preparedness and Response Plan - HISTORICAL
This page contains historical information. It is provided for reference but does not reflect current information or policy. |
- i3 will resume necessary in-person manufacturing activities, which includes use of the space and tools for making things that cannot reasonably be done at home. There will be no other restrictions on the type of work being done - both personal and business projects are permitted
- i3 will not be open for in-person member meetings, in-person classes, tours, in-person member onboarding activities, and other social activities.
- i3 will be closed to the general public, however adult guests are still welcome as long as they are performing in-person manufacturing activities as described above.
- As of May 29, 2020, i3 has a new waiver that all users of i3 must complete electronically at https://i3detroit.org/waiver/ before your first visit to the space after May 29, 2020.
- Everyone must complete and pass the screening checklist within 2 hours prior to each visit to the space.
- Before coming to the space, you must schedule your work time by using the calendar, and you must update the work schedule after you leave to reflect actual times that you were at the space. Staggering of work is strongly encouraged to minimize the number of people in the building at any given time. See COVID-19 Best Practices for details and instructions
- The screening checklist, work schedule and general adherence to this plan will be monitored by the officers and board of directors.
- While at the space, you are responsible for being able to report on the COVID-19 control strategies (this plan) and how i3 is implementing and monitoring said strategies. If any law enforcement or health department official comes to the door, you are responsible for showing them the hard copy of the plan and advising them to email president@i3detroit.org for any further questions. This duty defines you as an "On-site supervisor" under EO 2020-97.
- Face coverings are required to be worn at all times while inside the space. Face shields are required when consistently working within 3 feet of someone else. Additional PPE (gloves, safety glasses, etc) is encouraged. Individuals are encouraged to provide their own PPE, however i3 will provide non-medical face masks upon request. Requests should be made by emailing president@i3detroit.org 24 hours in advance of your scheduled work.
- Upon entering the space, all individuals must wash their hands with soap and water.
- Sanitize any work surfaces, tools, hardware, and fixtures before and after use. This includes bathroom surfaces, faucet handles, storage cabinets, door knobs, etc. Follow any applicable Zone-Specific Safety Practices to sanitize zone equipment and tools. For general cleaning, follow CDC guidelines.
- The use of shared hand tools should be minimized as much as possible.
- For computer use, remote work should be done as much as possible.
- Maintain the largest reasonably possible distance from each other when inside the space, and minimize the amount of time where you are unable to maintain a six foot distance.
- Respect any marked traffic patterns, zone-specific safety practices, operator stations, physical barriers, etc as described in COVID-19 Best Practices
- Anyone who experiences symptoms or has a suspected or confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 within 14 days of visiting i3 shall notify the president by emailing president@i3detroit.org. The president will keep this information confidential but will use it to notify others.
- In the event of an exposure
- The space will be closed for 7 days or until it can be thoroughly cleaned
- An announcement will be made to the i3-announce mailing list of the exposure date
- The president will directly notify anyone who was at i3 in the exposure timeframe that they may have been exposed with exposure date and time.
- A copy of this plan shall be printed and affixed outside the front door of the space and available at the front desk.
- Violation of the Covid-19 Preparedness and Response Plan may result in suspension of membership for 1 month
- The Covid-19 Preparedness and Response Plan supersedes any other Standing Rule should there be a discrepancy.
- These rules are consistent with executive orders 2020-96 & 2020-97.
- If an order supersedes that order but is not more restrictive, the President may update the first sentence to say we are consistent with the new order.
- If an order supersedes that order but is more restrictive, i3 will be closed until these rules are revised to meet the new restrictions
- In case of conflict between these rules and the laws/lawful orders of the jurisdictions where i3 is located, or their representatives, the law shall take precedence over the specific rule in conflict with the remaining rules unaffected.
