Treasury and Budget Report for January, 2016

Financial Grade: A-

  • Emergency: $10K Checking : $5.1K
  • Classroom 60% paid. (2015&16)
  • 90 Subscriptions 12 annuals - Goal 100 total.
  • Higher than Normal dues, slightly below normal donations.
  • On Feb 1, 134 paying members, 50 Hiatus, 6 Scholarship.
  • We had an error in late Jan. I hit the wrong button and moved a large sum from Checking into PayPal without realizing it, and before I discovered and corrected the error (transfers to/from PayPal take 3 days to register) a single check had bounced. It was to Brandon Biller and I have been in contact with him and he is redepositing the check. It was a one time pilot error.
  • Because of traditional high spending in Dec and Jan, we are a bit lean on cash although still fine financially. I expect Feb and March to bring us back to a little more liquidity.
  • Automated dues payment messages seem to be working so far.

Budget

  • Covered under Treasury and Budget Report

Secretary

  • Will need someone to fill in for the April 5th Member meeting.
  • Will work on creating a template email and send out reminders for the board meetings.
  • Does it make sense to add reminders on the i3 Calendar for member meetings (say 24 hours)?
  • Thinking about creating meeting wiki pages in batches rather than as needed. Due to template changes, don't want to get to far in the future.

President

  • Meet & greet with 4H. Less attended that the prior event.
  • Assisting on membership on-boarding and new member process.

Senior Vice President

  • Working on new vinyl and laser cut signs.
  • Adding signs to label the zones.
  • Etsy shop setup workshop.

VP of Activities & Classes

  • Past Classes
    • Letterpress Class went well. Pictures posted on i3 blog.
    • Injection Molding orientation was very informative and well attended.
    • Jewelry Class 102 was fun. Very pretty pendants created from copper sheet.
