      • New procedure as of Sept 19, 2024. When using the water, turn on the main valve above the RO machine to use and turn off when done.
  • Only add coolant when the machine has not been run recently or coolant will drain all over the floor. If coolant is needed, prior to adding coolant, pull out coolant tank and clean out the chip traps. Use the big rubber glove.
  • The concentration of coolant will affect sump life, tool life, and surface finish.
  • Prior to adding coolant:
  • 1. Check the Brix level with the refractometer, it should be around 5. That is 9% by volume is to be coolant. If you are not familiar with using a refractometer just search online for a video. It is a very common tool and there are many videos.
  • 2. Mix 32 oz of coolant with 5 gallons as a rule. More if the Brix is high and less if it is low. Use paint stir tool with electric drill to mix throughly.
  • Check level and repeat as necessary.
  • Make sure coolant tank is pushed all the way back in or coolant will leak out of the machine onto the floor.

Automatic Oiler

Checking Levels

On the back left of the Haas is a 6" cube of smoky plexiglass which contains way oil for the Haas. Since it is transparent, you can see when it gets low. Or when it gets critically low and alarm will trigger on the Haas console.

Adding Oil

Use the Mobil Way Oil which is on the back wall behind the Haas and the small funnel. Wipe out the funnel after use. Do not fill above the DO NOT FILL ABOVE THIS LINE line.
