Last Minute Leather Belt Making Class – This Saturday!

Why spend 80$ on a high quality leather belt at a random store when you can not only learn how to make your own for a fraction of the cost, but at the same time learn how to manipulate and understand leather so you can use the knowledge learned in this class for possible further leather projects!?

In this beginner leather class we will be using 6-7oz vegetable tanned leather. The benefit to using vegetable tanned leather is you will have the option of making the belt in whatever color your heart desires and learn how to dye, condition and seal the leather.

You will also have the option on making imprints and tooling the leather for more of a detailed look.

You will learn how to bevel and taper the edges for a smooth professional finish.

This class includes:

• 3 hours of instruction from an awesome local artist
• A pre-cut belt blank
• Belt buckle
• Snaps (bronze, silver, and gold)
• Dye & Paint
• Tools to use (for tapering the leather and various tools for engraving and embossing)
