Come get familiar with our plastic injection molding zone Thurs. Jan 28 from 7pm to 9pm! We will cover the benefits of injection molding vs 3D printing and other fabrication techniques. Product design, mold design, the injection molding process and associated costs are topics that will be explored.
Carve your printing block out of linoleum and make Valentine’s Cards on i3’s very own Line-O-Scribe showcard press! You will go home with 20 cards (and envelopes) of your own design.
Two sessions are offered, 11 AM and 1 PM. Each session is 4 hours. January 31st, 11 AM and 1 PM. At i3Detroit in Frendale, MI.

Have you heard about Laser Cutters and wonder what they do? This class will show you how to use a Large 150 Watt laser cutter to cut and etch materials like wood and acryllic plexiglass.
The course will deal with the concept of line cutting and area etching, how to load a drawing into the Laser Cutter workstation, and how to move the design into the Laser Cutter and do final cutting and etching.
Each student will get to cut and etch their own small jewelry box from designs provided. Students will take this box home with them.

The i3Detroit Jewelry Zone is proud to announce: “Jewelry Making 101 – Forging a Wire Twist Bracelet”. This is a repeat of the same class offered last month that sold out in two days which showcases the designs that are made and sold by the well-known jewelry store of LaCkore. In this two hour class, you will make an elegant twist bracelet that you can wear with pride or give as a gift. This low cost workshop is a great opportunity if you are new to jewelry making and would like to learn what it is all about. Enrollment is limited.
