It’s official. i3 Detroit has completed our set of basic welding technologies. We started with Arc, MIG & Gas but now we have TIG. It’s an epic machine that supports both AC & DC and is built like a tank. In fact, it was used by the military back in the day. It even has instructions on how to destroy it should your base fall into enemy hands…AWESOME. Should the day come that OCD invades i3 Detroit, they may take our land, but they will never take our TIG welder.
Classes to come once we figure out how the heck to work it. Experienced TIG welders are more than welcome to show us n00bs a thing or two.
I’ll bet your Monday evenings are usually quite uneventful. Well not this week! Tomorrow is March 14th, 3-14, the day of i3 Detroit’s Pi Day Pie Party! Bring a friend, bring some pie, eat some pie and have some fun. (Pie not required for fun.) 7pm is party hour. Be there, or B².
We decided to postpone the Ice Carving class due to limited sign-ups. There is a steep hard cost for ordering the ice blocks and we didn’t have enough people signed-up to break even.
