Document Purpose

There's a task (on the task list ToDo) to clean up the craft room. However, part of the problem with carrying out this task is that the craft room is simply crammed with cool stuff. Most of it isn't out-and-out trash; when you get seriously crafty, the border is permeable.

We don't have enough space for all this stuff. To help the group pare things down, I'm going to start an inventory of what's in here. That'll make it a lot easier to decide what's junk and pitch it, and then organize the remaining stuff for optimal use.

Document Status

This document is in-progress. I have been cleaning, labeling, and inventorying in the Craft Room as I have time. The document is neither exhaustive nor complete. Please contact Kevin Flory (419-234-6200) for details on the work I've done so far.

Schedule

Inventory is planned to conclude Tuesday night. I'll have a tentative plan--what goes, what stays, and where to store what stays--posted to the mailing list by Wednesday 20:00. All concerned parties, I apologize for the short notice! As stated below, any damage I do should be reversible.

No actual disposals will take place until at least Saturday + the grace period (1 week). If I need to, I will empty my own member storage to hold the [proposed] trash until the grace period has expired. However, due to space restraints during cleaning, it may not be feasible to leave all items out on the work counters with a parking permit for a full contiguous week, as required by the Standing Rules on disposing of orphaned items. I will be posting lists of items planned for disposal to the mailing list, to this Wiki page, and as a physical list in the craft room.

Don't Trash It, Bro!

See below for the current [non-final] list of trashables. If you wish to claim a trashable--or think that it should continue to live in the craft room--you should do one of the following:

  1. take it from the lost and found
  2. contact me directly
  3. write a note, attach it to the item, and leave it out on a workbench in the Craft Room.
